White House Opportunity & Revitalization Council Executive Director Scott Turner Visits Sacramento

Sacramento is the 51st city that White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council Executive Director, Scott Turner (left), has visited since his appointment. The City of Sacramento and Sacramento Promise Zone hosted Mr. Turner, as well as representatives from other federal agencies back in November. Director Turner and federal agents had the opportunity to tour the 15 Sacramento Opportunity Zone projects currently underway. Mr. Turner heard from many small business owners, faith based groups, and nonprofit leaders about issues surrounding Opportunity Zones. During a round table discussion, many members of the Sacramento region had the opportunity to ask Mr. Turner to share some success stories, and what he has seen from his many visits of other Opportunity Zones across the country. Mr. Turner was impressed by the cross-sector collaboration occurring in Sacramento.

Federal Representatives from the CS, EDA, EPA USDA, HUD SBA, and HHS were in attendance
